FAQs

Anchor point testing: common questions

What is anchor point testing?

It's the inspection and, where required, proof load testing of permanently installed anchors, eyebolts and safety lines used for fall protection, to confirm they are safe to use.

Is anchor testing a legal requirement?

The Work at Height Regulations 2005 require fall protection equipment to be inspected at suitable intervals by a competent person. BS 7883 recommends at least every 12 months, with records kept.

Which areas do you cover?

We inspect sites across the Midlands, the South West, the South East and South Wales, with pages for 103 towns and cities. Larger estates further afield can be quoted on request.

How quickly can you inspect?

Most sites can be booked within two to three weeks. Urgent inspections after an incident or an audit finding can often be arranged sooner.
